AFCB overcame a potentially tricky FA Cup third round tie
to set up a dream home match against Liverpool in the fourth round.
Burton Albion made their second trip to the south coast after
the postponement of the first match ten days ago.
The Burton fans
produced a banner thanking the Cherries fans for their generosity in setting up
the well publicised coach fund.
Thankfully the players did not extend the generosity on
the pitch and in the end were good value for their 4-1 victory.
The glamour tie against the Merseyside giants comes in a
dream season for AFCB fans, The Championship, Real Madrid some great football
at times, but I only hope that this match is not too much of a distraction as
Championship survival must be the number one aim.
Don’t get me wrong I am looking forward to watching the
lads take on Liverpool and I do love the FA cup, who doesn’t dream of FA cup
final day at Wembley? And I am sure the players will be buzzing for the match;
I know that Eunan O Kane and Lewis Grabben both supported Liverpool growing up.
We are now entering a period of four home games in a row,
starting with Watford this Saturday.
Watford will be a real test and I hope we can get as many
fans through the turnstiles this weekend, three points will really see us pull
away from the bottom three.
As I write this it has been announced that Joe Roach and
Carl Fletcher have been appointed to oversee the youth set up, which is
fantastic news. Good luck Joe and Carl.
Also good luck to Wes Thomas and Wes Fogden, both players
have left the club this week to go to Rotherham and Portsmouth.
